SPAY & NEUTER
India’s Stray Animals
HELPING THROUGH SPAYING & NEUTERING
Population control surgeries for animals is critical for stressed populations. Given the critically low chances at adoption even for dogs as young as 65 days old, reducing the increase in stray animals is paramount. Additionally, evidence suggests that gonadectomy reduces mating instincts and fighting tendencies, a critical intervention in challenging India’s biases against stray animals.
Since 2020, we’ve helped spay and neuter hundreds of animals. With India’s stray population numbering nearly 90 million against a shelter capacity of less than 20% of that, however, it’s critical that we do even more. Your donation to our US-based registered 501(c)3 nonprofit helps us get more animals the care they need.
