Each piece is designed as a tribute to the Indian Handicrafts, using environmentally responsible materials. Hailing from the city of Channapatna a small village in the Southern regin of India, this lacquer craft has a beautiful historic significance. It was during the era of Tipu Sultan, when he was mesmerized by the Persian art and he brought in artists from Persia to teach the craftsmen about this form of craft. In and around the city, soon flourished this art and became famous for toy making!

The technique and materials then used are religiously followed till date. The Channapatna lacquer toy-making craft provides for a decent livelihood to the artisans.

Let us do our bit to sustain and promote this!
