Started as a foster mom to local rescues in Jacksonville, she was touched by stray animal abuse in the streets of India, which led to founding the organization

SAFI became close to my heart through my paralyzed pup, Mojo—an active, much-loved dog living a full life despite his injury. Sadly, that’s not the reality for most injured strays in India, and that’s why I’m passionate about this mission.

Swetha Ainampudi, lives in Royersford, PA, USA. She is an avid dog lover and has a 4-year-old beagle dog named Ashwa. She works full-time as a senior scientist.

Dr. Mona Kotecha is the Chief Medical Officer at Ventus Therapeutics and a passionate animal lover. She and her husband, both pet parents, joined SAFI to extend their support to stray animals in India. She brings compassion and leadership to our board.
