What if your greatest adventure… wasn’t just for you?

This May, the SAFI team — including our founder, shelter managers, veterinary staff, and adoption & cruelty prevention heroes — rode through the rugged heights of the Himalayas. Precisely, Ladakh.
From the icy winds of Khardung La to the silent strength of ancient monasteries, they rode with something far more powerful than adrenaline.

They rode with a purpose:
To speak for the voiceless.
To ride for the injured.
To fuel rescue missions where no one else goes.

At 18,000 feet, we weren’t chasing thrills — we were chasing compassion.
Because they’re out there, unseen, hungry, and hurting.
And you can help us reach them.

How You Can Help

👉 ₹100 / $1.20 / £1 = 1 meal for an injured stray
👉 ₹500 / $6 / £5 = 5 healing meals + basic meds
👉 ₹1000+ = A full day of rescue support

Behind the Ride: A Journey That Almost Didn’t Happen

What started as a dream — a cause-driven ride through the Himalayas — nearly came to a halt before it even began.

As we finalized our plans to fly into Ladakh, tensions between India and Pakistan escalated, and war clouds loomed over the region. The Ladakh airport was shut down, grounding not just planes but our entire campaign.

We were devastated. With no access to the region, we lost time, momentum, and the ability to plan the awareness ride the way we had envisioned.

But then — a stroke of fortune.

Just days before our scheduled departure, the airports reopened. The skies cleared, and so did our path forward.

And with that, the SAFI team — founder, shelter managers, vets, and cruelty prevention warriors — rode into the Himalayas, not just for the thrill, but to carry the voice of every injured, forgotten street dog who couldn’t make the journey themselves.

We finished the ride not just safely, but with joy, purpose, and powerful stories to share.
